DISTINCTIVE FLAVORS
As the Cellar Master, Alexis Cabanne has carefully selected the outstanding batches of “eau-de-vie” that will be combined together to handcraft COGNAC LA TRUFFE after a long aging small oak barrels stored in damp cellars covered with clay.
Thanks to this meticulous selection of “eau-de-vie” and the humidity found in the soil of these damp cellars, COGNAC LA TRUFFE is permeated by very distinctive flavors, such as notes of truffle.
Since 1946,
the business has consisted of two principal activities:
⦁ The distilling: 15 traditional boilers of 25 hectoliters each that can produce 2 million liters of eau-de-vie per campaign;
⦁ Wholesaler: its stocks consist of about 4000 hectoliters of “eau-de-vie” dating from 1806 to today.

The Cabanne family vineyards are located between St-Brice and Bourg Charente, and covers an area of approximatively 80 hectares in “Petite Champagne” and “Fins Bois” appellations.
